If I want to become a disney channel star which agency should I choose? I want to become a disney channel star. I am pretty tall for my age (I'm 15 and 5'10) , which is a minus for disney, I am puerto rican, persian and german, I have long brown hair with natural highlights, I have hazel eyes, that change from brown to hazel to green, and I am not skinny, so I do have a lot against me. How do I become an actress for the Disney Channel? I am a thirteen-year-old girl who wants more than anything else to work for the Disney Channel. Not because I want to be famous, but because I LOVE acting and singing, or just performing in general, and acting for Disney Channel looks like so much fun. The only problem is: I don't live in California. I do live in Atlanta, but I have been looking EVERYWHERE and I haven't found anything for the Disney Channel. I want an agent so bad, but my parents just went through a divorce, so money is a little tight, and my mother thinks we shouldspend money on somehting more important. I am not saying my mother doesn't support my dream, I just don't think she understands how much this means to me. I have studied acting, and gone to many classes and camps. But I have almost no experiance other than the school plays i have participated in, and a little modeling on the side. Almost every single female I know in my drama classes have auditioned for Disney, and some are very good--and not one has made it. I've only been a member of Answers for a couple days, and already I've seen numerous questions asked about auditioning for Disney, sending in resumees, and where to go to get there. But there are MANY other options out there, and you have to work your way up to the top before you become Zac Efron or Hannah Montana. So my questions are: Do you HONESTLY think you are good enough to be on the Disney Channel? If so, why? Do you have enough experience? And why don't you want to pursue something more worthwhile such as Broadway? Thank you all for you WONDERFUL answers! All of you are right--Disney doesn't base anything on raw talent, they base it off of "The Look." If you don't have "The Look" they are looking for, sorry, try again next time. If you have "The Look," but no talent, they'll train you, and oftentimes, the result is bad acting. And yes, Big R, I am a teen--I'll be turning 16 in about a month. I have a lot of experience working in entertainment, even if I've never had a paying job. I went to a Talent Scout three years ago, and he didn't ask you any questions--he LOOKED at you and told you yes or no. Back then, he told me yes--now, I'd get a no because I'm no longer a cute little kid. This is true in the business--once you get older and lose "The Look," you lose your job as well. Also, with pop singers such as those on HSM, their singing is terrible. (Take it from someone trained.) To sing pop, you don't even have to sing well--just through your nose. They have jobs, but they're still bad.
